Eltif 2.0 takes off with record number of funds authorised

A regulatory revamp has put private markets fund launches for individuals into high gear in Europe, with European long-term investment fund (Eltif) authorisations in the last two years surpassing the number seen in the seven years prior.

There were 80 vehicles authorised in the last two years across Europe, compared with 79 from 2015, when the Eltif rules first went into effect, to 2022.
